Shoot, I would love to seeing Square Enix create a game that involves all the Final Fantasies like Kingdom Hearts does for Disney. Although Dissidia does bring many Final Fantasies together I would like a story that is more than just artificial and has some depth. (I haven't played Dissidia yet, but I hear the story is more or less tacked on.)

I don't understand why people compare the PSP to the iphone/itouch either. If a person bought the iphone/itouch primarily for gaming I would think they are nuts. There are some fun little games from what I hear, but nothing compares to things like The World Ends with You, God of War: CoO, Jeanne D'Arc, Legend of Zelda PH, and many other high production valued games on the DS or PSP. Those are fairly non-existent on the iphone/itouch.
Although I want Kingdom Hearts III to be on the PS3, I agree that the strategic combat should comeback. I played Kingdom Hearts II on Proud mode and never once used the two keyblade modes if I remember correctly. It actually made me mad that you couldn't glide all the time like in the first game. Give me the ability to glide all the time back!
Kingdom hearts would be a perfect candidate for an hd collection just like God of War. I know I would buy it. Unfortunately the series isn't owned by Sony, so I don't know if that will ever come to fruition.
I would love to visit some of worlds out of the Final Fantasy universe, but Kingdom Hearts was always Disney first with a few sprinklings of Final Fantasy characters for FF fans.
@Kigmal
I have the same feelings. Finish the series where it started. If you want to make side stories on other platforms go ahead, but finish the main story where it started.
Yeah, I hate online trophies. I always look at game before I start to determine if it will be a game that I will try to platinum. If they are impossibly hard, I just ignore the trophies. I platinum games because it is fun to do if I like the game. If its going to make me miserable I won't even try.
I wish GameShark, Action Replay, etc. would come back. After beating Ocarina of Time, I used to have fun just messing with the game by using codes that let you fly or run through walls. I also had a lot of fun creating freak Pokemon in Red and Blue with the GameShark that had erratic moves that could do some very weird stuff. Unfortunately, cheat devices are now looked as creating an unfair advantage in games because of online rankings. I wouldn't mind getting rid of achievements or troph...
There is a difference between the 3DS and the DS XL though. The 3DS is the next handheld like Nintendo DS was to the Gameboy Micro. The DS, DS Lite, DSi, and DS XL all play the same games save for a few camera based games. The Gameboy Advance, Gameboy SP, Gameboy SP+, and Gameboy Micro fell in one category also just as the PSP-1000, PSP-2000, PSP-3000, and PSP Go do too.
Although more revisions are released you don't need to buy the newest thing to play games that you already ...
I have never found a reason to upgrade past the original Gameboy Advance, DS, or fat PSP. All the things he listed to me were simple revisions that make a better product. You don't need them to play the games, but a new buyer would much rather have the better screen for example.
I don't think we'll see anything that is actually controller free navigation until you can resolve the details of the hand accurately. It basically comes down to how do you want to indicate an action. You have some way to trigger an event.
The move uses the camera to locate position, but the buttons are used to "click". Natal may be able to track the general orientation of the body, but it can't resolve fingers well. This means you'll have to use large appendage mot...
If I remember correctly, I think Sony was said that the design and functionality of the subcontroller is still being decided, so hopefully they'll add both the motion sensing and the light to that controller also. I would think they only thing that ups the cost of the controllers really at this point is the accelerometers. The light is just that, a light.
EDIT: HHG is very ...expressive.
I was amazed to find out the spheres are deformable about 4 minutes into the first video. For the longest time I thought they were hard spheres, but they actually are rubbery and can be squished.
..and lol at HHG, he's a character
I bought a 16 GB memory stick over a year ago for $20. Just dig around a little for something else that is cheap.
Just have pop in and say I agree with all you just said Soda. Even in other genres doing mundane things can greatly add to the experience if done correctly.
Thursday never bothered me a bit. I have college to worry about during the week, so getting it earlier only tempts me more to not work when I should. I am just glad the new stuff is there on Friday when I have time to play games.
It looks like were some of the few people on N4G that enjoy the psp. I have about that many psp games also, and several of them are fantastic. For the longest time I had more PSP games than DS and enjoyed it more, but lately I have been slowly buying more and more the DS just because of the shear number games it has. It's not that the psp doesn't have many games, it just that the DS an order of magnitude more games than the psp.
Who knows the psp might end up like the original...
I really look forward to Nintendo's next handheld. I have been waiting for 3D to arrive and flourish for a long time. Hopefully the TV, movie, and game industries will help propel 3D technologies into the mainstream and become something that people down the road will wonder how lived without it.
I remember reading somewhere earlier today that Japanese new publications were saying (without any sources) that the 3DS would be using a sort of film that redirects the light to each eye. If this is the case, it seems Nintendo is trying to use the parallax method.
EDIT:here's the link looks like they updated the information a little since this morning http://ds.ign.com/articles/...
@APOFISBORICUA
I absolutely love Pacific Rift. I also managed to pick it up several months ago when it was $20. Now my friends and I play that all the time on the weekends. Nothing beats shoving my friends off the road or running over them. I wish the DLC maps weren't twenty bucks or else I would buy them in an instant. Can't wait for MotorStorm 3.
Lol I always note all of the security cameras I pass in a building too.
